Live Export Inspired Artwork in Melbourne

Nicole Tattersall is a Melbourne-based artist who works in a variety of mediums. As a passionate lover of animals, Nicole was inspired to create a series of illustrations in response to WSPA's Humane Chain campaign to end live sheep exports. Below are images of three of her touching pieces.

"Humane Chain"

"Deadly Scared"

"Handle With Care"

The illustrations are available for purchase as prints, with the proceeds going to support WSPA. They're also appearing alongside several of Nicole's other pieces in a solo exhibition titled "Patchworked" which you can check out if you're in the Melbourne area through the 30th of September. Here are the details:

At Large Gallery
208 High St, Northcote, Victoria
Exhibition: Friday 17 September - Thursday 30 September 2010

Here's Nicole posing with her pieces at the gallery. For more information about Nicole's artwork you can check out her blog.

We're always encouraging our supporters to take action against live exports by joining the Humane Chain and writing in to your elected officials. But it's also great to see someone's passion for the cause channeled in a creative way that gets people talking.

Have you been inspired to create some type of response to the cruel live export trade? Whether it's in the form of writing, visual art, or some other medium, we'd love to hear from you! You can leave a comment here or email us at humanechain@wspa.org.au
